Honey Neem Soap " Kick Ass"

Neem oil is known to help eczema sufferers. With eczema sufferers, the use of steroid does thin out the skin and with the scratching, infections sometimes sets in. This soap is not made exclusively for eczema sufferers but a real kick ass soap for getting rid of germs. It is wonderful to use it for our school children who brings home all sorts of germs from school.  We use essential oils known to fortify the immune system and get rid of germs as well.

Just made and sitting in tray

Harden overnight and going into the curing room for 6 weeks
Love how the colour turned from brown to a nice tan
ITEM :LSP1
So happy with the tan colour of the soap, we
decided to add a little colour to our new batch.

The soap has settled to a lighter tan and with
the added mica, they look absolutely wild!
ITEM NO : LSM1

The tan coloured soap smells more like tea-tree and the marbled soap smells more eucalyptus.  We used kick ass essential oils to keep everyone extra clean.  Great when you have the sniffles, the essential oils will help you clear up the sinus.  We have put in so much goodness in this soap and it is the first of our Herb infused Luxurious Line.  It has added Vitamin E and Cocoa butter, Extra virgin Olive Oil and wheatgerm oil to make the soap as gentle as possible.  The neem oil and herb is also used to help with eczema.

Do not use this soap on children 3 years and below, the menthol will be too strong for them.  Upon request we can make a fragrance free soap but be warn the neem is very pungent!

Each Bar is $15 but we are also making smaller bars at $10

Body Whipped Sugar and Jojoba beads scrubs

This is another item which is just for Christmas.  The texture is thick jelly-like and has a fine scrub, so if you like it you can scrub everyday.  This is a body scrub.  Comes in 2 sizes, 300gms for $25 and 100 gms for $10.  They are lovely to use and bubble up as you scrub.  This is probably the closest we will get to a 'liquid soap'.

Pumpkin, my favourite.  It is more musculine and has a slight
spicy vanilla nutty fragrance.

Berry-licious scrub.  We feel this is a sure pleaser for everyone.

Bubble Bar

It's that time of the year when we want to treat ourselves to
something special.  Our bubble bar makes a great stocking
stuffer and who does not love to soak in a tub of bubble
bath?  Candy Cane fragrance, sweet and slightly minty.
$7 each and once a year only.

How to use these bubble bars?
Run your hot water and crumble the bar under the water.  It may start to fizz but it will definitely bubble up! Feel your skin soften in the bath.  You may want to do a scrub while you are soaking in the goodness.

Inspiration from Hokkaido

It is the perfect size, weighs 110 gms and going for $12.
When we were in Hokkaido, they had pictures of a strawberry cake every corner we turned.  We made a raspberry version of it.  The smell of this soap is mouthwatering full of berries that is slightly sweet. Yummy!

Soap nuts review

They smell a little funky, so after
boiling them for 20 minutes, We
added some fragrance oil.

We are constantly in search of natural products.  There has been a lot of hype about soap nuts and we had to test them out.  We have seen rave review on utube about these natural nuts as shampoos, bodywash  and laundry detergent replacement.  Our verdict, they are too harsh to be used on our skin and hair.
Seen it on utube, so was not terribly concern. We would
have to like to have see a stiffer foam but considering
what a dilute solution we had to work with, this was as
good as it gets.

The soap nut produces natural saponins which are bubbles that cleans.   It took alot of nuts for us to get this froth, so we don't feel it will work in cleaning soiled laundry.

Some suds got into my eyes and it stung
and teared for  awhile even with the use
of eyedrops.

Herbs infused Oils

We have been very busy infusing our oils with herbs and the exciting moment has arrived, our oils are ready for use!  Our Carrot infused oil is the first to be turned into soap.  We have used sweet almond oil, sunflower oil, coconut oil and Olive oil and the carrots have imparted a wonderful orange to the oil.  This is going to make an amazing bar of soap. We might go all the way and use fresh carrot juice as well.

We have been very hands on with our carrots, selecting the carrots to drying and infusing them.  So we would like some input on what you would like.  Honey Carrots with fresh juice, smelling gorgeously sweet.  These soaps will have to be used within 3 months.  Fragrancing is an option you can write in and suggest and if you like to place an order, let us know.  There will only be 16 bars of these very special soaps.  So much love and hard work has gone into making these infused oils but you definitely deserve the best we can offer.  The fat soluble vitamins from the carrot is retained in the oil.  So much goodness in a bar.  If you love this bar we will keep this as our permanant line.  Do look out for them in 7 weeks when they are fully cured and ready for use.

An amazing night and how to take care of your soap

My son's school holds the best carnival ever.  I have my usual soap stall  but I love the interaction and trying to work out how to sell the soap to some strangers.  But everyone goes there in such good spirits, so everyone was lovely. Everyone worked hard but it is really a wonderful time to meet new friends and catch up with the old ones.  To all, I say thank you for the support.

In the frenzy of the sales, I didnt talk very much about how to take care of the soap.  It is a natural product and you have to make sure it is well drained and kept in a dry place after use.  It does not contain detergent like sodium lauryl sulfate which have shown to denature the protein on your skin and allow other toxin into your body.It is also found to be a culprit for allergies Those with sensitive skin, do the same with any new product, a tiny patch test. Should anyone like a little more bubbles, just use a pouf and mechanically lather up the soap

In the Christmas spirit a lot of the cupcakes had vanilla in them,  Do not be alarm if the vanilla turns either to a tan colour or darker still, that is just how vanilla works.  So use up your soap ASAP. It is a lovely body treat and enviromentally friendly.

Ingredients

Cocoa butter, organic coconut oil, organic palm oil. organic safflower oil. distilled water, Sodium Hydroxide, sorbitol, sobitan oleate and soyproteing,

Dead  sea salt was made with organic oil as above but no cocoa butter.

Hempseed Oil Soap

$15/bar
Rich in polyunsaturated fats including both Omega 3 and 6 essential fatty acids, and GLA, it is a key ingredient in anti-inflammatory skin care formulations; it soothes and restores moisture on dry or damaged skin. How could you not love this soap? Need we say more. We still have 7 bars left.

Ingredients: Hempseed Oil, palm oil, Castor oil, Coconut oil, Sodium hydroxide, salt, purified water, mica and Patchouli, Valencia orange and Tangerine essential oil blend.

The Journey of the Olive Soap

100% Olive Oil also know as Castile has been around for a long time.  It was once the soap made for royalties and treasured for its wonderful benefits for the skin. The name "Castile"defines quality, purity and gentleness.  Some considers Castile as the gentlest of all soaps.  It does not lather well on its own but with a pouf of a gentle cloth, we find the soap a joy to use.

We made an Olive soap which has 20% Coconut Oil added to the Extra Virgin Olive Oil.  This increases the lather and makes a wonderful high content Olive soap.  You simply have to take this journey of seeing for yourself which soap is the one for you.

For bubble lovers, we made an Extra Virgin Olive Oil with the help of palm oil and coconut oil.  This soap has a good amount of Olive oil for you to enjoy the benefits of this wonderful oil.

$45 for 3 bars of soap in one package
We do a special wrapping for you, in a raspberry and black wrapper.  They are simply adorable.

Rose Garden

Our New Batch of Rose Scent is ready!
This is part of our super luxurious range called Fancy Pants.  In this soap we added palm oil which is also a great moisturiser.  It has a lovely feel, just pure silk when you wash yourself under the showers and we love the dense bubbles.  For Rose lovers, this is it. This is a large bar, weighing over 150gms.  This soap completes our set of 3 bars of soap, known as the journey of the Olive soap.  We use only Extra Virgin Olive oil for our olive soaps

Ingredients: Olive oil, palm oil, coconut oil, sodium hydroxide, distilled water, salt, mica, fragrance oil and rose geranium essential oil blend

Celebrating Halloween

I suppose culturally, we find it hard to approach people for candies but seriously, it is so much fun to participate.  One day in a year when your whole neighbourhood gets to say hello with big smiles and finally get to know each other.  How cool is that?

Here they come!

We will definitely get more candies next year.

Pumpkin again

This year we have decided to spice up the pumpkin scent.  While the nutty vanilla buttery scent remain, it is more of a spicy pumpkin pie scent.  Spicy, does sound a little scary to try out but it is super yummy and the spice just perks it up a little more...perfect for pumpkin lovers!  These soaps makes lovely guest soaps and of course for trick or treating.  They are way too cute to be scary.  We can modify it so it looks like a lit up pumpkin, with a touch of glitter, so do write in and let us know.

Weighs 80gms and going for $5.  If you are using this for trick or treating, again make sure the receiver knows it is a bar of soap.

Ingredients: Coconut oil, palm oil, safflower oil, glycerin, purified water, sodium hydroxide, sorbitol, sorbitan oleate, soybean protein and fragrance oil

Skulls

This will complete your entire halloween decorations, right to the bathroom.  It will definitely get the kids into the shower after a sticky walk around the neighbourhood collecting candies.  They make lovely treats (body treat that is) as well to normal candies.  If you love entertaining, have them handy as little goodie bag for your guest...careful to tell them not to eat  it.  I normally don't emphasise on 'not eating the soap'(cos it will take you a second to figure out it doesnt taste very nice) but with halloween, anything you receive must be a piece of candy.

These skulls weigh around 50gms and are going for $3.50

Ingredients:  Coconut oil, palm oil, safflower oil, glycerin, sodium hydroxide, purified water, sorbital, sorbitan oleate, soybean protein and fragrance oil

Eyeballs

Its trick and treating time again and this year we are not only going to treat but pamper you with these cute little eyeball soaps.  They are simply so adorable, they remind me of the power puff girls. Its fun to surprise your little trick and treaters with something that is not going to send them on a sugar high or worse still to the dentist.  Be sure to inform everyone that it is a bar of soap, and not candy!

These eyeballs are nearly 80gms, and in the spirit of celebrating Halloween they are only $5 each.

Ingredients: Coconut oil, palm oil, safflower oil, glycerin, sodium hydroxide, purified water, sorbitol, sorbitan oleate, soybean protein and fragrance oil

Shaving soap

Shaving soap in a cup is just so charming.  If you are wondering about the cup, yes it is soap too. To use wet the shaving brush and move around the shaving soap in circular motion and you'll have a lovely thick foam.  This set is $25, cup weighing over 200gms with a clear glass soap dish and of course the brush.  It's a fun way to shave.  For ladies who may want shave their legs, this works perfectly as well.  It comes in Sensual Sandalwood, Citrus, Minty Melon and Love spell.

Extra Virgin Olive oil Soap

This bar of soap is made with 80% Extra Virgin Olive oil and 20% Coconut oil.  The coconut gives the Olive soap more lather and makes it a harder bar.  It is harder to find 100% Olive castile than one that has another oil added like coconut or palm kernal oil.  This bar offers you the best of both worlds, moisturising and lathers beautifully.  Most soaps with such high Olive oil is also called Castile, so do check the ingredients if you want pure 100% Castile.  These range of soaps are larger size bar, costing $15/bar.

Ingredients: Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, purified water, sodium hydroxide, salt with Lavender, Rose Geranium and Patchouli Essential Oils

Castile soap

Castile simply means 100% olive oil and this is where less is more.  Originally from Spain, the soap is reputated to be soft, slightly slimy.  The benefits of this soap outweighs the labour that goes into making it.  The soap is so gentle, I would recommend it for face and babies. It is so mild when I use it on my face I find that it doesn't have that taut feeling.  If it does, then it would probably be because I haven't fully rinsed off the soap. The soap just doesnt strip off your natural oil, I love it so much I want to make an entire range of just pure Castile soap. It is lightly scented but if you really want to get a good lather out of it, it is best done mechanically with a pouf or face towel.  Remember to drain the soap and the soap will last you a lot longer.  Like with all my soap I try it on my face, hair, body but when you do it right the lather comes off creamy and dense.  I am waiting patiently for my hubby to have his next shave, I think it will make a nice shaving cream.  These are bigger bars around 150gms to 165gms, and they cost $15 a bar.

Ingredients: Extra Virgin Olive Oil, purified water, salt, sodium hydroxide with tangerine and sandalwood essential oil.

Exotic Oils Galore series - Rustic Charms

It's middle of the year and I have been negleting my blog, all for the sake of coming up with something new. I'm looking into making rustic looking soap or more handmade look about these soap. It's exciting coming up with new recipes. This bar of soap is packed with goodies, goat's milk, oatmeal colloidal, raw honey charcoal, Vitamin E, Rosmary extract (antioxidants) and Grapefruit seed extract (more antioxidants). I used the same charcoal that my mum used to give me when I had a tummy ache. It helps absorb toxin and this bar of soap does the same for your skin. I use my soap for my hair, face and body, you may not want to be so extreme. I don't think it harms the hair to give it a clean once in a while to remove all the build up of stuff we have left in our hair. It will make your hair feels squeaky clean and love the lather.

Exotic Oils Galore series - Exotic Bush Flowers

When I made this soap all I could think of was yum yum if only this is a fruit salad. It contains passionfruit seed oil (who would think you could get oil out of passionfruit seed?) avocado oil, macadamia oil, mango butter and coconut oil. It also reminds me so much of Australia, so I used Eucalyptus, lemon tea-tree and lemon myrtle essential oil to fragrance the soap.( It smells more lemony, the eucalyptus touch smells to have faded) This soap is as delicious as it sounds and I couldn't rave enough about how wonderful the oils are. Packed with antioxidants, they are great penetrating oils which does wonders for skin. Can we really get enough of moisturising soaps?  These are big bars, they are at least 150gms. and I can cut them for you for sample size bars.                                  3 bars left

We have been trying out different variation of essential oils for these mandarins and we have come up with the juiciest smelling mandarins ever. They would certainly make a delightful change to the normal mandarins we exchange during Chinese New Year and what a surprise they will make. They smell wonderful and are exactly the same size of normal mandarins. Just let your host know that they are soap!!
